After leaving high school, I joined the United States Marines, Vietnam Veteran with an Honorable discharge. I continued to pursue Martial Arts training in
I branched into Thi Chi Jiujutsu under the instruction of Master Fred Peterson receiving 2nd Degree Black Belt in Thi Chi Jiujutsu. Soon began training under Grand Master Steve Sanders, aka Sijo Steve Muhammad in Kenpo Karate, In which I received an 8th Degree Black Belt., and my Nickname "SWEETPEPPER" because of my fast fighting techniques were always on point.
Under Universal Systems I hold a 10th Degree Black Belt - GRANDMASTER. I have been in Black Belt Magazine. I have also held Grand Champion numerous of times, two time World Champion, State Champion, International Grand Champion, and National Champion. I have been teaching Martial Arts for over twenty years, starting back in 1988. I HAVE OVER 40 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN MARTIAL ARTS.
I‘ve taught Martial Arts, self-defense, self-respect, and self-control classes, helping to build discipline and confidence, while having Fun in a safe environment for both kids and adults throughout the City of Carson Park and Recreation since 1988.
Mr. Carter brings something special to the Martial Arts world. He is an all-around athlete – he’s a trained boxer, he plays football, he’s a runner, he is a sought after competitor in Kenpo (Chinese Boxing) and he’s an inspiration to the community and the kids he works with! Due to his drive and ongoing energy, Mr. Carter has taken first place in each and every martial arts tournament that he has entered. He has a true love for fitness and encourages all students – male and female – to jump the highest, run the fastest, and have fun doing it. Through him, kids see what they can be.Mr. Carter is a celebrated athlete that holds a 1st. Degree Black Belt and brings Martial Arts to life. He has been volunteering his time and performing community service for at-risk youth and their families since 2007 by providing answers to their fitness challenges.
